The board was also set to vote on a loan resolution for RD Manor Chamblee, LLC, the kind of financing tool authorities use to unlock tax-exempt bonds or other incentives for local builders. Permits
- 1900-1901 Century Blvd — Chamblee approved a mixed-use project with 320 apartment units and 10k square feet of commercial space. Expect construction traffic on Century Blvd once this breaks ground.
- 3630 Peachtree Rd NE — A vacant office suite is getting a full buildout for a new tenant. The permit's still under review, but a multi-story office building landing new business is a good sign for foot traffic nearby.
- 5776 New Peachtree Rd — A new business permit closed out this month. Watch for a storefront here.
- 5880 Peachtree Industrial Blvd — Another business permit closed. Two new tenants popping up on the same corridor in one month says something about demand in that stretch.
- Colt Dr — A $2 million single-family home is under construction, with a new water meter going in to serve the site. That's a serious price tag for new residential build, and it signals more high-end homes could follow on this street.

Beyond these, the city processed 20 smaller residential permits this month, mostly HVAC replacements, minor alterations, and a couple of single-family builds. Nothing there should disrupt your daily routine.

Road Work

- Peachtree Industrial Blvd Signal Upgrades — Crews are updating the traffic signal system along Peachtree Industrial Blvd, from Peachtree Rd to New Peachtree Rd. This is a signal optimization project, so expect changes in light timing as the system comes online, not lane closures.
- SR-13 Resurfacing (DeKalb County) — GDOT is resurfacing SR-13 from the Fulton County line to Chamblee Tucker Rd. The current pavement scored a low rating, so crews are laying fresh surface along this stretch. Watch for lane shifts and slower speeds if you drive this route regularly.
- Ashford-Dunwoody Rd Ramp Widening at I-285 — Construction is underway to add a third lane on the eastbound ramp from Ashford-Dunwoody Rd to I-285 northbound. This ramp backs up often, and the new lane aims to fix that. Expect ongoing lane restrictions in this area until the work wraps.
- PATH400 Trail Extension, Phase II (Fulton County) — Just outside the DeKalb line, crews are building the middle segment of the PATH400 Trail from Windsor Pkwy to north of Baroque Cir. This is a pedestrian and bike trail project, not a road widening.
