Commissioners also accepted a $9.48 million state grant to fund planning and design of a new Behavioral Health Crisis Center in North Fulton, a meaningful step toward expanding mental health crisis response capacity in the county. On the development side, the board approved a grant supporting a 149-unit affordable housing project in downtown Atlanta and a separate grant tied to a Mercedes-Benz expansion expected to generate 194 jobs and $32.9 million in private investment. - I-75 Lighting Upgrade (Fulton County) Crews are replacing outdated high-pressure sodium fixtures with LED lighting along I-75 between Musket Ridge Drive and I-85, about 1.7 miles from Buckhead. Expect some nighttime lane activity in the area while work is underway.
- SR 400 Tunnel Bridge Rehab at the Justin C. Martin Building (Fulton County) This one's close at 1.9 miles out. Workers are rehabbing the SR 400 tunnel, tackling spall repair on transfer beams and roof slabs, fire system repairs, and related upgrades. If SR 400 is part of your daily routine, give yourself extra time and watch for lane shifts near the work zone.
- SR 9 Resurfacing from SR 3 to North of Paces Ferry Road (Fulton County) SR 9 is getting a full resurfacing treatment to bring the roadway's condition score back up. At 2.8 miles out, this one's close enough to affect your commute if Peachtree Road or nearby connectors are in your rotation. Watch for lane closures and flagging operations as crews work through the corridor.
